The Charles Waxed Canvas Apron is crafted from the finest materials to deliver rugged durability and timeless style. Made with 12 oz. nutmeg waxed canvas, 9 oz. navy waxed canvas pockets, and 5/8 inch chestnut-finished leather straps, this apron is built to handle years of hard work. Each piece is finished with copper rivets and brass button studs for superior strength and a classic look.

We use a custom wax blend of local beeswax, paraffin wax, and linseed oil to coat the canvas, protecting it from the elements and giving it that perfectly weathered, broken-in finish over time.

Perfect for Makers, Creators & Everyday Craftsmen

Whether you’re a barber, barista, woodworker, potter, handyman, farmer, or gardener, this apron is made for those who love to get their hands dirty. Its durable construction and thoughtful design make it ideal for workshops, cafés, studios, gardens, and homesteads alike.

Trusted by the Best in the Industry

The Charles Apron is proudly worn by some of the world’s top baristas, craftsmen, and homesteaders. Through our work with the Specialty Coffee Association of America, we’ve partnered with elite coffee professionals like:

  • Lem Butler – U.S. Barista Champion, Counter Culture Coffee

  • Benjamin Put – 3× Canadian Barista Champion, Monogram Coffee

  • Todd Goldsworthy – U.S. Brewers Cup Champion, Klatch Coffee

Our aprons are also the go-to choice for skilled barbers at Mercer Studio and Mail Room Barber Co., as well as respected woodworkers like and Sons of Sawdust in Athens, GA.

And on the homesteading front, Justin Rhodes of Abundant Permaculture and The Justin Rhodes Show trusts this apron daily on his farm for gardening, farming, and homestead projects.

Care Instructions

To keep your waxed canvas apron looking its best:

  • Spot clean with a damp cloth

  • Re-wax as needed to restore water resistance and rich finish

  • Avoid machine washing or dry cleaning, as it can strip the wax coating
